Christmas Morning

Christmas morning the kids slept in until 7:30.  They all got their robes on and anxiously awaited for us to let them come down the stairs to see if Santa really came.

Yep, he did! Running around and finding their stuff!
Nick got these glasses in his stocking and wasn't quite sure what they were for!
Same with Mckay!

Natalie checking out her stocking.
After Mckay had opened a train set and his stocking, he was so sad there was no Red Ryder.  But, he and Nick obviously forgot where Santa puts Red Ryders!  In the back corner behind the tree right?!
Ohh the Joy!

Something just doesn't look right about this! I am not sure how Santa talked me into this. Guess this is what the protective glasses were for.

Natalie was so excited about her new doll,  Mia Bella.

The Santa Letter:
Sam and Shauna came over late Christmas Eve and spent the night.  They were so much help getting everything ready.  We love you guys and loved having you here with us.

We are finally the proud owners of a Wii!  We spent the week after Christmas in our jammies and boxing each other. Wii boxing that is. I have to say that my arms were pretty sore!

Olivia finally woke up and was happy!
She got a dolly and elmo, but mostly liked the little things that fit in her mouth.

Olivia helped me open my new bosch!  Yay!  I might start baking up some home-made bread this year.

Christmas Eve

This was the first Christmas Eve spent at home and we loved it.  The kids were so excited all day to hurry and go to bed!  We started the night by making a feast to eat with a turkey, rolls, glass window jello, salad, and stuffing.  Before we ate, we set the feast up on the bar and on the table put a loaf of bread.  We talked about how Jesus is the bread of life and if we realize that in our lives we will never hunger or thirst for more.  We then ate the feast and quickly cleaned up so we could head downstairs for the rest of the festivities.  The kids opened up new jammies and pillow pets.  I had no clue how excited they would all be about pillow pets.  The kids gave each other gifts and they gave us gifts they had made at school.

 Pretending to be asleep,
Giving Hugs and thanking each other!
Off to bed we went in hopes that St. Nick would soon arrive!  Some of us didn't get to sleep until around 2:30 though!

A Snow Fort!

The snow finally fell and kept on coming, again!  Nate went out with the kids for a few hours and built this awesome snow fort out back.  They had a great time building, wrestling, and all came in sopping wet.  What do you do with all the wet snow clothes every single day?

Delahunty Family Party

The night started out with a yummy ham dinner and a little playing around. The kids love when Nate wrinkles Olivia's face into this little ball!  Don't worry, it makes Olivia laugh too!

Next was on to the melting snowball.  The goal is to keep your candle burning the longest while eating the icecream around it.

Mckay was very intent on winning!
Nick's burned out and wanted me to light it again

Then the Nativity was next.  We attempted to have Olivia play the role of baby Jesus, but she wasn't too thrilled about it.  She was happy wearing the halo and being an angel though.  I am ok with that!
Then we got a visit from "Stubby Pringle" who told us a Christmas story and entertained the kids.
Next, Grandma passed out little gifts to each of the kids!  Thanks Grandma for the fun night!

9 Months

Little Livvy is 9 months old.  She has been so fun and happy this last month.  She is smiling more and learning to play by herself with her toys.  She is eating more foodShe is starting to get around, but not full on crawling yet.  She keeps one leg in front and one in back and scoots around.  She loves to play in the kitchen getting stuff out of the bottom drawer.  She is starting to pull herself up to standing at every chance she gets and seems happy if she is standing.  She is giving kisses, waves, signs 'drink', loves to eat cucumbers, plays peek-a-boo, and finally sleeps through the night (usually)!

Ready for Church

The kids were all dressed in their Christmas Church clothes and looked so cute.  We have loved having church at 11am and not so sure how we will do at 1:00!  I guess we all have to have our turn!  Just hoping Olivia will learn to nap in my arms.  We will probably be in the halls a lot this year if anyone wants to join us!

This Made Me Smile

As I was cleaning up today, I spotted a new ornament on the tree.  Nick has been getting Mckay's present together for a few days and this is his new addition.  It made me smile!  To: Mackay From: Nick

Gingerbread Houses

Tonight we had cousins over to make gingerbread (ok, really graham cracker) houses.  There was plenty of candy and frosting to go around which made for some pretty great looking houses and some tummys full of sugar!  What is better than that?!

Ally focusing on getting the pieces all lined up.
Mckay did not want any help.  He was pretty creative and was the last one at the table still creating his masterpiece.
Natalie had a little help getting it all put together, but loaded it with candy all by herself!
Brit helping Houston put the chimney on!
This is Nick telling me to let him do it by himself!

 Nick's final masterpiece
 Linds and Scarlett
Natalie's House with the candy corn fence
 And the whole village!
