Soccer for Mckay

Mckay played soccer this fall for the first time. He loved it! We loved going to watch him play too. He was so cute out there with his determination to make a goal every game and got a little frustrated at half time if he hadn't done it yet. He accomplished his goal and received his metal in the end. Way to go Mckay!

The PuMpkIN Patch

This is Mckay and his new cousin. He asked me the other day if it was okay for cousins to get married! He also asked me a few more questions about getting married like: "What if all the highschool girls are gone by the time I get there?" "Can I marry a girl that is bigger than me? (I think he meant older), "How do I give the girl a ring?" He then informed us that he is nervous to give her the ring! Whoa- I hope he gets over that one pretty quick because that is a long time to be nervous.

Every fall when the men go to Priesthood session, we go to the pumpkin patch. After the men get home, we make yummy scones at Grandma's house. It has become a fun tradition. As Nate was loading the pumpkins onto the porch this year, he informed me that we should change this tradition and include the men! We'll see what happens next year.

Labor Day at Snowbird

We spent the weekend up at Snowbird for Labor Day. Little did we know that we would fit right in with the Oktoberfest that was going on up there! HA! Buy a mug and get all the beer you want. Lucky us!! We had a condo at the Lodge with a fun balcony for the kids to throw things off, stairs to run up and down and up and down when they woke up at 7, and 3 queen size beds so only one got their own bed. We really did have a fun time and hopefully those in the rooms around us were out of it enough that they didn't notice us!

We took the tram ride up to the top where you could see for miles. It was beautiful. I have developed some fear of heights over the last few years and could hardly handle the kids getting too close to the edge! They loved it though.

Nick was a champion bull rider for the day. It was so funny to watch. He just held on and wouldn't let go no matter how much he got thrown around. We rode the alpine slide and played on the jump toys. It was a fun weekend.

Mckays First Day

Mckay was so excited for his first day of school at Miss Jody's. He was very particular about what to wear and how his hair is fixed. He loves to have it spiky- not soft spiky but hard spiky (with Gel and Hairspray!). It is so fun to drop Nick off, then Mckay, then Natalie! I am loving this mommy time.

Natalie's First Day of Preschool

It's hard to believe my baby started Preschool this year. She is going down the street to Miss Emily's. She was very excited to put her pink princess back pack on with her pony for show and tell in it. She told me she forgot to show it that day! Mckay was very excited about his little sis going to school too and wanted to be in all the shots.

1st DAY of 1st Grade

Sighhhh.. . Summer is over and school is here. We had such a fun summer, but I do have to say I love Fall. I love the excitement of school starting, wearing a jacket and jeans, and the leaves changing.
It's hard to believe my little Nick is in 1st grade. He was so excited for his 1st day today. He loves his teacher Mrs. Richins and is excited to have so many friends in his class. Last night at the open house, he and Will chose desks right next to each other. We told them that wasn't a good idea, but they insisted. They are still sitting next to each other at the end of day one. We will see how long that lasts. It was fun to have just 2 at home today. Mckay was my little buddy, and also very good at playing with Nat. I have to admit I am a little excited for preschool to start in a week! 2 hours twice a week to myself, hmmmm. Whatever will I do with myself!

Dance Class

Natalie took a little Dance class this summer at a neighbors house. She loved it! It was so cute to see her in her little out fit trying to do the moves. She learned to do a 'starburst', 'penguin', 'scissors', and she did her own invention of a 'kicking crab'.
