Disneyland 09

I am finally getting to posting pics from our trip to Disneyland. We went with our friends, the Zundels, and had so much fun. We stayed at the Grand Californian and had adjoining rooms. The kids got to play with each other almost every minute of every day and had so much fun. We also got to meet up with cousins and our friends the Smiths. It was so fun to see Zoe and Ayden again and spend time with Ry and Whitney and the kids.
We had great weather for the first part of the trip, and then it rained for the last two days at Disney. We ran around with our ponchos, but still got pretty wet. It was very nice to have our hotel right at the park so we could go back and change!
Nick was a little nervous about all of the big rides before we went and told us he was not going on them- but Mckay couldn't wait! So the first time on Space Mountain, Nick went with Nate, and Mckay and Will went together! What brave little kids. Mckay couldn't stop talking about Space Mountain the rest of the trip and wanted to go on it over and over! We let the kids earn money to have to spend while on the trip. Natalie got a new princess nightgown, Mckay picked out guns, and Nick go legos! One day while Mckay was playing with his guns, he asked Nick, "why did you get legos? Legos are so dumb and guns are so cool!" It was so funny. He was totally obsessed with guns the whole time. Several princesses were shot and all the pirates were definately wounded! Nick was obsessed with the legos though too. One day when it was raining, he just wanted to sit in the hotel and play legos, rather than go out and play!
Natalie loved the princesses and fairys.
We had a great time! Thanks Zundels for all the fun and to Nancy for enjoying the chocolate as much as I do (mmm tigger tails! I love those things)!

Notice the nice wet street!

Sleeping Beauty

This is how I found Nat today for her nap! Thanks Kristy for the cute princess attire, she loves it. Before we went to Disneyland, the kids each earned money to buy something special. Natalie had the choice of all the dolls, toys, etc. She picked out this Sleeping Beauty nightgown- which she has been wearing all day today. Love my little princess. Yes, she does have a very messy face too.

Happy Birthday Natalie!

I can't believe my baby is 3, (and still my baby!). It has been so fun to have a little girl in our house and to bring the color PINK into our lives. She has taught us about the love for dress ups, and changing outfits 5 times a day. She loves princesses, playing pretend, and playing house. I am often carrying a baby around the house that I am babysitting while she is out 'shopping.' Natalie loves to help me in the kitchen and create her own salad while I am making something- a salad can be a bowl of ANYTHING cut up really small. When she adds a little Ranch, she will eat it all. Natalie still takes naps-thankfully- and when she wakes up, she loves to watch Little Bear and have piece of gum. She loves Chocolate just like her mommy and if I ever sneak a piece, so does she! We love you Natalie and are so grateful to have you in our family.

Snow Mountain

Nick has become very fond of the snow mountain out front. He has received many small injuries from the mountain, but still continues to play as it has gotten bigger and bigger over the last few weeks! The other day he came in with his hand bleeding. He told me he went down the mountain on his bike and went head first and caught himself with his hands! Nice!

Faces

Natalie and I have this thing we do, where we make faces at each other. She'll just randomly say to me, "mom, let's do faces!" So, we do! I took some pics of her doing her side of the faces the other day.

Snow Ice Cream

We made Snow Ice Cream again today! It really is pretty yummy and kids love it. It works best with freshly fallen snow, but anything with enough sugar in it works for the kids! It is an easy recipe the kids can do and quick too. Another way to enjoy these cold winter days. Especially when I have been home with at least 6 kids for the past 3 days! Ahhhh- I need to get out this weekend. Hopefully Nate will get the memo!! (Yes, Natalie is in her jammies and it was 4:00 in the afternoon! She was having too much fun today to ever take the time to get dressed.)

Happy 2009!

Happy New Years! It is hard to believe another year has gone by! And guess what?, I am still not pregnant and my baby is almost 3! It seems hard for me to believe sometimes too! We have been so blessed this past year and I am grateful for all that 2008 brought. I look forward to 2009.
We had a fun New Years party with 2 pinatas this year. One for the kids, and one for the adults! It is so funny every year to see adults diving on the cement for dollars! Love it! Thanks for the fun mom and dad!
Derek got engaged and we are excited to have Jenny in the family! Love you guys!
