Olivia couldn't resist getting in on the action too  She is starting preschool in a few weeks and is super excited.
Nick is starting 5th grade.
Natalie is starting 2nd Grade.

The school had a big welcoming party for the kids.  They have a new mascot named Hank the Hawk.  They had all the teachers out welcoming the kids with balloons and a banner.

Back to School

We had a great summer, but I think we were all ready for school to be back in session!
Natalie started first grade this year.  She is starting the Spanish Immersion program like her brothers.  One of these days they are all going to be carrying on a conversation without me.  I should probably be doing my own studies on Rosetta Stone every day.
Natalie has Mrs. Jorgenson and Sra. Vasquez
She was a little nervous about school today, but she has a great time.

Mckay is in 2nd grade.  He has Mrs. McPherson and Sra. Torez.  He thinks Sra. Torez is pretty cool because there is a famous soccer player named Torez.  Awesome!
Nick is still liking this pose!  He is in 4th this year.  He has Sr. Smithee and Sra. Luiz.  He thinks Sr. Smithee is soo funny and Sra. Luiz is quiet.  I think it is going to be a good year.

We were so excited... we had to do a few jumps for joy!

Liv had to get in on the action too.

She has a while before she will join the kids at Harvest, but she is pretty proud of her new panties!  I am happy for her too.  Now we are back to just one baby in diapers again!!  That is a good thing.
I love these kids!
..and I love how sweet they are with Liv
 New shoes!
i am excited for all they will learn this year, the friends they will make, and the changes that will happen to our family as we move into a new neighborhood.

Liv has always loved these "guys" at school.

Back To School

School is back in session for 2011!  Nick is in 3rd grade this year and not sure if he wants to be in spanish immersion still because it was so hard last year.  I have heard that his new teacher Sra. Govers is an easier teacher than Sra. Duran!  No homework so far- so that is a good sign for him!  Not sure how I feel about it!
Mckay is in first grade.  He was so excited to eat lunch at school and be able to walk home with Nick.  He is starting Dual Immersion this year.  He has two teachers: Mrs. Mcdaniels and Sra. Lambson.  He likes both of them so far.  His report on the first day of school was that it was Scary and Long.  He didn't seem too bothered by it though and was happy to go back the next day!  The first day he saw a boy whose leg was gushing blood and the ambulance had to come get him.  He said he just closed his eyes as he had to step over the blood in the hall!!  Yes, I would say that is scary too!  Another boy in his class got lost and they were afraid that is why the ambulance was there.  All is well and he comes home telling us a new spanish word every day.
It has been so fun to see these two getting ready for school together, packing lunches, doing morning jobs, and being excited together.  They have been riding bikes to school together.  So fun for them.
Olivia was excited for them too.  She wanted to be involved just as much as everyone else.  The night before school started, we had our back to school dinner and family night.  We then invited the neighbor kids over for the candy cannon!  Nate's brother made a candy cannon that launches candy and the kids all run crazy for it.  Nate made one for us to have and it is a blast every time we get it out!
After the candy cannon we came inside for father's blessings.  After the boys had their blessings, Olivia climbed up into the chair and wanted one too.  Nate gave her a sweet little blessing and she sat so still and quiet for the whole thing.  It was precious.  She is such a smart little girl and I am amazed everyday and the things she understands.
Natalie starts Kindergarten a week later than the boys.  She gets to go to the new school this year!  She can hardly wait for the day.  I hope it isn't too crazy with kids at two different elementarys, but they didn't give me the choice!  So, we will make it work and hope that it is just for this year.

Back to School 2010

The carpool gang- minus Micheal

Nick is in second grade this year.  He is starting the Spanish Immersion program at his school with Sra. Duran as his teacher.  Nick is very excited to learn Spanish like his uncles.  Nick wanted a one-strap backpack this year.  I originally got him a 'normal' one which just didn't cut it!

Mckay and his buddy Micheal.  Both have their 'fast' Sketchers on!
Oh Mckay!  My new little Kindergartner.  I am so excited for you to be in Kindergarten and go to the same school as your cool older brother Nick.  Mckay has Miss Palmer and he might have a slight crush on her already!  When he saw her the second time, he mentioned that she didn't look as cute as she did the first day.  He asked if I noticed?!  Nope, but love that you did.  He and his buddy Micheal were comparing the cuteness of their new school teachers!
Mckay and Miss Palmer

I think these pictures express perfectly Mckay's excitement for school this morning!  Hope he can contain himself this year in Kindergarten!  Gotta love the personality!
And, my sweet Natalie started her second year of preschool!  She was so excited to be going to Miss Kim and I am excited she gets to go 3 mornings a week and at the same time as Mckay.  She gets to be in the same class as her cousin Jackson!  School just couldn't start soon enough this morning.  The kids were all up at 7:00, dressed, and ready to go!
