Evil? Us?

Conversation with Mckay today while eating lunch:
Mckay: Mom, are we an evil family?
Me: Evil? No, we aren't evil.
Mckay: Are you sure we aren't evil and you are just hiding it?

I then explained evil vs. good and still unsure of why he asked this question. If only I could peer into his mind for a minute. Maybe he is fantasizing about superheroes and villians. Why would we be the villains? Hmmm. Don't we usually fantasize about being superheroes? Love my Mckay.

Our neighbor did a fun little dance class over the summer. Natalie loved every minute of it. We were gone when they did the performance so I snuck over for the last practice and snapped a few shots.

4th of July

We had a little last minute party for the 4th of July. I love to be home for the 4th and doing fireworks out in the circle. It so reminds me of when I was little and watching Greg Martin blowing up some mighty Evanston Fireworks for the neighborhood.

Grandma Groen's 80th Birthday

Grandma Groen turned 80 on July 2nd. Which is when Colin also turned 19! We had a party to celebrate. Snow-cones, cake, sloppy joe's, and yummy salads. Grandma Groen is an amazing lady and we love her dearly. I am grateful that my children get to know their great grandma. Happy Birthday Grandma! We love you!
