Olivia's First Bath at HOME

Nate has always been the one who gives the kids there first bath at home- at the hospital too! The kids were excited to watch Olivia take a bath in the sink!

So happy to have her here!!

We went into the hospital around 8 in the morning and they broke my water around 9. I had the epidural around 11 and she was born at 1:39 in the afternoon. It all went pretty quick. When the nurse checked me and said I was 'complete,' I didn't realize at that moment that it meant it was time! With just a couple of pushes, out she came! I don't think there are words to quite describe that moment of holding your little one for the very first time. There is no greater joy in this life!
Olivia has been such a sweet baby. I am so grateful that she is healthy, a great eater!, sleeper, and not fussy!
The day we got home from the hospital, Natalie and Mckay had Pink Eye! Olivia has been off limits for them and it has been kind of sad. Hopefully we can keep her healthy through the rest of this flu season.

Natalie Turn's 4!

It is hard to believe my baby is 4! It has been so fun to have a little princess around the house. Natalie is such a happy girl and is going to be such a big helper when her little sister comes. She has a new found love for barbies and a will spend hours playing in her room with them. I love it! A few of her barbies have had to visit the local 'hospital' for injured hands and Jasmine was sent to the garbage, uh I mean graveyard, with a destroyed face. All thanks to Chewy.

On Nat's birthday morning we had pink french toast for breakfast, McDonald's for lunch, and Hot dogs for dinner. I made her a ladybug cake that she requested with pink frosting. Pink is still the favorite color.
Natalie is so loving to me. She climbs in bed with me in the mornings and we just talk and laugh until she can talk me into getting up to get her cereal. She usually requests pink oatmeal for breakfast, but occasionally will have Cheerios.
I love you Natalie and I am so grateful to be your mommy.

Valentine's Day

The kids all gave me a card for valentine's day. It was pretty cute what they each wrote, or drew to me. I love my family and I am so thankful for them! Especially my hubby who has been so good to take care of me over this last month of pregnancy.

Basketball

Nick has been playing Basketball for a month now and is loving it. He is slowly learning that it is more of a dribbling and shoot game rather than run and tackle type of game. He is pretty aggressive and not afraid to take the ball from anyone! On the way to the game the other day, he told me that there are 3 stars on his team and named 3 of the good kids on his team. I told him he is just as good as them and should consider himself a star too! He has played like a star ever since! We have to frequently to pass the ball to others and not be so rough! He is looking forward to football in the fall!

I am as tired as a Statue!

As we were driving home late last night, Mckay told us he was as tired as a statue! I asked him what he meant by that. He explained how tired a statue must be after having to stand there for so long and not moving. He was THAT tired!

This is a picture of Mckay being some sort of scary monster! And yes, he does have some stamps all over his face. That is what happens when he is home with Dad on a cold Saturday and mom is out shopping!

3 Funerals and a ?

Together Again!

These last few months have been pretty rough for the Bradley family. We have had 3 funerals in the last 4 months. Luckily they usually come in 3's, so we are done for a while! Right? My dad's sister Kelly died unexpectedly in her sleep in October. Then his other sister, Lori, died from cancer in December. Last week, Kelly's husband, Jim, passed away unexpectedly. They left behind their son JD, who is a senior in High School.

Having someone die, always makes me reflect on my life and reminds me how short this life is. It reminds me how important it is to make the most of our relationships with our families and those that are close to us so that there are no regrets! It is a good time to reflect on our relationship with our Heavenly Father and the purpose for being here on Earth. How grateful I am for my knowledge that we do have a purpose in this life and how it will directly effect our life for eternity.

At Jim's funeral this week, we sang "Come, Come, Ye Saints." Generally when that song is sung at a funeral, the last verse about Death is the part that really gets to me and I generally can't even sing through that verse. This time, the second verse really stuck out to me.

"Why should we mourn, or think our lot is hard?
Tis not so. All is right.
Why should we think to earn a great reward
If we now shun the fight?
Gird up your loins
Fresh Courage take
Our God will never us forsake.
And soon we'll have this tale to tell
All is well. All is well."

I know that God does have a purpose for each of us. I know that we must take up 'fresh courage' and that God will never forsake us. I am grateful for my testimony of my Savior and to know that this life is truly the time to prepare.
